This week we completed our Andy Warhol inspired painting. The children chose to paint two fall themed items (a leaf, or an apple) in each of the four separate squares on the canvas they created in our last class. They traced the items from homemade stamps, then painted them with acrylic paint.
They were encouraged to paint in different colors, and many children took full advantage of the paints provided and even painted polka dots on some of their apples and leaves.
After they were done painting, the canvasses were set aside to dry. After they dry, they tape will be taken off and the children will have their own Andy Warhol inspired paintings.
