Lesson 40 - Mother's Day Stand Up Card

Mother’s day is this Sunday, May 11.  The children had a great time creating their special mother’s day card today. We made a simple but striking card made with a large piece of construction paper (6x18). We folded this into three sections (approx 6x6 each).
On each panel the children glued the pre-cut letters “M O M”, then decorated each letter with either crayons, markers, pastels, as well as various stickers, feathers, etc.

The finishing touch was adding glitter on the card. Each card was an individual creation, and many were very colorful and unique.
Everyone was urged to decorate their card with colors and ideas that are mom’s favorite. Some children drew hearts while others drew ice cream cones, and still others used crown stickers to show mom is queen.
With the multi-colored glitter as our final touch, mom should have a great day when she receives this colorful lovely card.
